:7 "for one will hardly die for a righteous man, for perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die,
:8 but God demonstrated His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
What came to my mind was the hardness of heart, the fallow ground in the heart of the one I was praying for. How all his life he lived the first part of this scripture..."all of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us have gone his own way,...but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. Is 53:6

What man, who on this earth would be crucified, the most lowly, cruel, humiliating way to die, and to suffer the deepest most painful separation from God His Father, for someone that hated Him, for a criminal, an enemy of Him? Romans 5:7 says "perhaps for a good man...." but there is ONLY one sacrifice... Hebrews 10:12 that has redeemed all sinners if they choose to receive Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness;
Jesus
Christ was willing to "carry...up to the cross" my sin, your sin, the
sin of the whole world for even those who do not seek Him now, for those
with hardened hearts toward Him, who despise Him.

People who have not experienced the salvation through Jesus Christ, are according to God's word, blinded by the devil, (2 Cor 4:3-4) and their hearts are fallow ground.
Hosea 10:12 ...in speaking to Israel whose hearts had turned away from Him... "Break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the LORD...
Fallow means "untilled" ground; hardened; Break up meaning "freshly till".

In other words, yield to God so that He can sow goodness, truth, righteousness and salvation into the soil of one's heart and the blindness be lifted to see "the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." This is the only place His Glory will be found!
2 Kings 8 tells us of the battle of Israel against Moab involving three kings. King of
Israel, Jehoram, King of Judah, Jehoshaphat and King of Edom, (at that time a

to battle. As always it is amazing at the absolute power God displayed. The
LORD is mighty to do according to His will!

After deciding to go up against Moab, the 3 kings above traveled

The word "endure" is interesting in this passage.

Greek #5278 hupomeno-
...to remain, to tarry behind
...to persevere: under misfortunes and trials to hold fast to one's faith in Christ
...to endure, bear bravely and calmly: ill treatments
...to remain i.e.: abide not to recede or flee
Jesus remained in the circumstances the Cross brought Him to
He held fast to His faith and confidence in the Father
He bore bravely and calmly the ill treatment of those He came to save; calmly in the sense He
submitted to the humiliation of it
He did not flee from the Cross

Father, Your Holy Son Jesus did not turn away from the Cross, from Your will in which You took pleasure to crush Him (Isaiah 53:10) for my sake. Step by step He fully obeyed.

How else can the glory of God be manifested in all of its purity but by being in the will of the Father?
Pure without the stain of human interference or resistance.

Help me Father to obey Your Holy Spirit's promptings.

hhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10778418934164225822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338632499848479595.post-52367957204643472352013-07-21T10:32:00.000-05:002013-07-21T10:42:52.403-05:00Thy Will, O God The thought came to my mind about Jesus at the right hand of the Father in eternity past. Jesus is One with the Father and Col 1:16 says that all things have been created for Him (Jesus) and through Him.

So in seeing Him sitting at the Father's right hand and the time for Jesus to leave His seat there and come to earth....would we dare to think there was a discussion about it? In our earthly minds we would have asked "Well, where am I going? How long am I staying? What am I going to do? Will they believe who I AM?
No! Jesus did the perfect will of the Father without any discussion because He is One with the Father
Hebrews 10:5-6 says
Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says,
"Sacrifice and offering Thou hast not desired,
But a body Thou hast prepared for Me;
:6 In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
Thou hast taken no pleasure.
:7 "Then I said 'Behold I have come (In the roll of the book it is written of Me) to do
Thy will, O God.' "
Hebrews 10:12 ..but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the
right hand of God .

He knew from eternity past the plan for mankind, that the Father had prepared Him a body
for man's redemption.

The point in all this is that it brought home the fact that when the Holy Spirit prompts us to do
something the Father really doesn't need His children to question and have a lengthy discussion
about what He is directing us to do.

The spontaneity of God in us will always be a blessing to someone and will have a purpose that we may understand or not understand. The important thing is to obey the prompting without hesitancy, doubt, or fear of what man will think.

Father, I simply ask the grace to obey Your promptings and to do Your will.hhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10778418934164225822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338632499848479595.post-34094253933966190262013-05-24T08:49:00.000-05:002013-05-24T08:52:19.501-05:00Continually With You<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

No human can fully express Your greatness. Only Your own words can give to our human soul a glimpse of Your awesomeness and majesty.
Is. 45 was written 150-200 years before Cyrus was used by You, O wondrous Lord, to set Your people free from the exile they were in. You even "gave the exact name of an unborn deliverer" . (note from Hebrew Key Bible) Who can match Your knowledge and wisdom?
:5 I am the Lord, and there is no other.
:6I am the Lord, and there is no other.
:8 I am the Lord, and there is no other
:22 For I am God, and there is no other
again, :5 besides Me there is no God
:6 There is no one besides me
:12 It is I who made the earth and created man upon it.
:18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens
:21 There is no other God beside Me
A righteous God and a Savior.
You are a God who has chosen to be our loving Father, our merciful Savior, and the Holy Spirit within to comfort and guide us
Truly, You are the one true living God!hhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10778418934164225822noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338632499848479595.post-48218244935528298492013-05-06T09:43:00.000-05:002013-05-06T09:43:04.308-05:00A Long Distance<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

You have reminded me today of the immense privilege it is to
be Your child. To live under a New
Covenant with my God. To NOT be under Your judgment.

In reading the story of Achan in Joshua 7, I was reminded of
the consequences of disobeying the Law in the Old Covenant.

When Israel
conquered the city of Jericho
the warriors had been told not to plunder anything for themselves. All of the
silver, gold, and articles of bronze and iron were to go into the treasury of
the LORD.

But Achan “ coveted
them (articles of gold and silver) and
took them; and behold, they are concealed in the earth inside my tent…”

The LORD told Joshua as a result of this transgression, Israel
could not stand before their enemies, they had become accursed, and He “will
not be with you anymore..”.

This was only resolved when Achan, his sons and daughters,
and all that he owned were

taken out of the camp; they were first stoned to death and
then burned with fire. “..and the LORD
turned from the fierceness of His anger. ”

Wow.

This is just one instance of the wrath of God being poured
out and the severity of the consequences of transgressing the Law in the O.T.
Jer 7:20 “Behold, My anger and my wrath
will be poured out on this place…..”

Nahum 1:6 Who can stand before His
indignation ? Who can endure the burning of His
anger? His wrath is poured out like fire and
the rocks are broken up by Him.

Father, thank You for the New Covenant, for deliverance out of the darkness, out
from under judgment and for being free to worship You and receive Your
unconditional love.

Many translations have an exclamation mark after her
statement indicating it was said strongly with emphasis. When she spoke to the
wife, she spoke with an anointing, with such confidence that she was listened to and believed to the
extent that it sparked hope and action. And that action led to his miraculous
healing.

Elisha brought to Naaman.
words. Help us to listen to the little ones.

2 Kings
5:9-14

Story of
Naaman: I love this story Father.
The scripture says, Naaman, captain of the army of the king
of Aram
was a great man and highly respected by his master. A valiant warrior though a
leper.

This is what stood out to me:

When Naaman came to the house of Elisha, he already had in
his mind how his healing would be played out. “Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me and stand and call on
the name of the LORD his God and wave his hand over the place and cure the
leper.”

God’s Spirit in Elisha worked in a different way.

This reminded me of how as believers we perhaps too often
play out the answer to our prayers. To expect
You, our great and mighty God to answer is right and good, but to expect You to
answer in the way that we think or assume You should, can lead to disappointment
or even missing the answer because of our actions to “help” the answer come
forth.

You are holy, You are infinitely wise and say “My thoughts are not your thoughts nor are My
ways your ways.” (Is 55:8)

Ps 92:5 says “How great are Your works, O LORD!
Your thoughts are very deep.”

Elisha did not even come out to Naaman personally. He sent a
messenger.
When Naaman finally obeyed as Elisha’s messenger instructed, he
was healed.

Teach me to pray. Teach me to rest in Your truth and everlasting
faithfulness

their own way. Each one to his unjust gain to the last one. (Is 56:11)

In the beginning verse above in Numbers 27, Moses is asking
God for a man to lead His people “out and bring them in”….God rose up Joshua in
answer to that prayer and NOW He has given us Jesus, our ultimate Shepherd.
us in His Word to a place of peace and quietness, where He feeds us with eternal

1:12-14

:12 I have sent him back

:13 whom I wished to keep with me,

:14 but without your
consent I did not want to do anything, so that your goodness would not be, in
effect, by compulsion but of your own free will.

In thinking of the wisdom that Paul used to persuade
Philemon to receive back Onesimus, it is so encouraging to know that You will provide
the spirit and wisdom needed for us to handle any situation through Your love
and grace.

Paul could have demanded that Philemon would receive back
Onesimus, who was a slave of Philemon that had run away after wronging him in
some way, but instead he persuaded him to take Philemon back as a brother in
Christ. Paul was also willing to take any debt that Onesimus owed Philemon.

In verse :14 basically Paul was asking Philemon to have a
willing heart to understand that Onesimus was a different person now, not the
same slave that ran away. He had come to Christ and was now a beloved brother (Col 4:9) in the Lord.

Through Your Spirit, Father and through Your truth we are
able to overcome stubborn emotions that cry out to cling to past hurts or
wrongs that others have done to us. We are able to believe that yes, a person
truly has changed and become a new creature in Christ (2 Cor 5:17) and receive them in their conversion as such.

Your Spirit of grace and love empowers us to forgive and it
is not because we are under “compulsion” but because You are extending grace to
them through Your Holy Spirit that is working in us by changing our own hearts.

Forgiveness is beauty, purity, and freedom.
He had to communicate a somewhat sensitive request of him and Paul did it with
such grace! Such gentleness and yet irresistible in the manner in which he
presented his request.

This verse is one that spoke to my heart.....

Philemon 1:6 (and I pray) that the fellowship of your
faith/ may become effective/ through the knowledge of every good thing which is
in you for Christ’s sake.

(Amplified) 1:6
the participation in and sharing of your faith may produce and promote full
recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every
good (thing) that is ours in (our identification with) Christ Jesus (and unto
His glory),

fellowship of faith-
fellowship has the idea of comunity, intimacy, communion, and sharing. Faith is not something that is private and kept to ourselves because when Your wonderful divine Love prompts us, we
are compelled to share it in the way that You ask us to.

may become effective….may
produce and accomplish God’s purposes

through the knowledge
of every good thing which is in you (us) for (or in) Christ.

Faith and love become the driving forces in our lives as we
understand, perceive, and recognize how deeply God the Father has loved us through His Son, Jesus Christ.Through the knowledge of every good thing (His love, mercy, peace, authority, etc.) He has generously already given us, the fellowhsip of our faith becomes effective for the Kingdom of God; for eternal purposes.

Knowing Jesus is a life long journey.

In seeing what a “soothing aroma” the O.T. sacrifices were
to You, Father, and thinking of the real authentic sacrifice in Jesus, You brought to my mind that there are an infinite number of
things for us to discover about Jesus.

He is more precious than any jewel.

Like a perfectly cut diamond with its many facets, catching
the light, shining brilliantly, continually revealing its beauty to those who
see it, examine it, and study it.

And so He is to us, only His beauty and majesty and
brilliance infinitely surpasses anything on this earth or what man’s mind can
imagine.

There is no end to knowing Jesus, or of knowing His grace
and love and experiencing them daily in our lives. Discovering the infinite
facets of His life are truly the greatest life changing revelations a human being can have.

What a privilege to know Him and to learn to walk in His
light.

I love this!!! Father, You are so AWESOME and wondrous in
all of Your ways! I am so amazed at the
intricate details given to Moses for the Tabernacle. They all point to Jesus!

From the above passage the rite of sin offerings was to
sprinkle the blood of the sacrifice 7 times right in front of the veil which
separated the <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Holy Place</st1:address></st1:street>
and the Holy of Holies. Then some of the
blood was put on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense which is in the <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Holy Place</st1:address></st1:street> before
the veil.

In reading Gill’s commentary the sprinkling of the blood is
a “figure of the blood of Christ, called, in allusion
to this rite, the blood of sprinkling; which being presented before the Lord,
calls for pardon from him, and sprinkled on the conscience, speaks peace there,
and perfectly cleanses from all sin, which the seven times sprinkling is a
symbol of:.

The number 7 is representative of
perfection in the Scriptures. This rite
was looking to the blood of Christ shed, once and for all, for mankind. The 7
time sprinkling can represent our being forgiven perfectly, and our conscience
cleansed perfectly also. Therefore, we
as believers today, can have perfect peace and not be burdened with guilt or
condemnation for the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed us from all sin (Heb
7:27) once and for all.

May we value the preciousness of
the blood of Jesus Christ and never forget the price He paid to make us
acceptable to God, the Father. To make us perfect, beautiful, precious, and
without the stain of sin in the eyes of the Father. Redeemed! Perfectly loved!

Thank You Father for the love
you have demonstrated toward us (Romans 5:8) through Jesus Christ, Lord of all!hhhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10778418934164225822noreply@blogger.com0
